King’s Cave and Drumadoon Walk

Join our Geopark Ranger for a walk along this spectacular coastline. Hear the geological and historical story of King’s Cave, find evidence for giant prehistoric reptiles, and discover Arran’s magmatic past in the sheer cliffs of the Drumadoon Sill.

Distance – 7.5km, mostly on good paths but with some walking on the rocky shore.

Meet at 13.30 at the King’s Cave Forestry Commission car park (Grid ref 898 315). You will need stout footwear and waterproof clothing.
